Christmas Eve | 2013

Celebratin' at the Cheesecake Factory

 Cheesin' it forever

 This is my "posh spice"

And this is my "Mary Kate & Ashley" close-lipped smile

Am I the only person that thinks this looks like Sauron's eye?

Christmas girls!

Only half the lights on Tutu's tree are functional.

And she has to hold the star.

 Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas!

Here We Come A Caroling...

Christmas Eve with the Stolworthys means heading to Tutu's house, reading the account of Christ's birth in Luke chapter 2, and then a musical program of some sort. In years past, that usually meant a painfully long, choreographed dance to *NYSNC's or SheDaisy's Christmas album, followed by very, very simple piano solos. Now it means Christmas carols, and impromptu concerts, Von Trapp style. So, as promised, the Stolworthy singers(with an assist from Tutu):

And as a little extra, the musical stylings of the twins you never knew the Stolworthys had:

Christmas at the Container Park

So, the container park opened at the end of November, and last night we took a little trip to downtown to check it out. It was pretty cool, and it's fun to see downtown revamped a little. And, I doubt anyone else down on Fremont is composting. We window-shopped for awhile, I bought some sweet midi rings, and then we ate at this taco shop(I guess it's name is drama?) All in all, a very good time. You should check it out, and tell me how the bbq place is.

Dad and Hailey beating the cripple.

All of the store and restaurants are in containers!

This dude is balloons!

Cute parents. *Please notice Dad's cardigan.

These rings are so sweet.

The food was aiight.

Merry Christmas Container Park!

World Gingerbread Competition part 1

So my roommates and I did a weird thing, we asked boys on a date. I know, I know, we're a bunch of feminist freaks.

We planned the most intense gingerbread house competition we could.

The Contestants:

 TEAM 1: Me and Steven.

TEAM 2: Anna and Matt

TEAM 3: Willow and Jake

The rules:
Each team was given 30 minutes to build and decorate a gingerbread house.
After the 30 minutes of competition time expired two certified WGC(World Gingerbread Competition) judges arrived and examined the houses.
Shortly after the judge's departure the Master of Ceremonies arrived to announce 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners to the tune of "The Final Countdown."

The Masterpieces:

TEAM 1 - Rapunzel's Tower

TEAM 2 - Neuschwanstein

TEAM 3 - A Cathedral

It was a nail biter, but

The Results:

 3rd place!

2nd place!

1st place!

We had fun, and we hope the boys did too.
